Overview & Highlights

Welcome to the Highway Dolphin Restaurant, a hidden gem tucked along the scenic route of the Hyderabad to Bangalore highway in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. This South Indian restaurant, located at JHMQ8XX, promises a delightful culinary experience that caters well to both weary travelers and local food enthusiasts alike. The restaurant's vibrant atmosphere is complemented by a spacious setup featuring various dining options, including inviting indoor spaces, cozy canopies, and charming open-air seating, making it perfect for all occasions.

As I explored the extensive menu, I was particularly captivated by the array of vegetarian starters. Options like Gobi Manchurian, Panner Majestic, and the flavorsome Chilly Baby Corn beckoned to be tasted. Combining traditional South Indian flavors with a modern twist, Highway Dolphin's offerings appeal not only to the palate but also to the eyes, presenting beautifully plated dishes that are hard to resist. Value for money is another highlight, with most of the dishes priced reasonably between ₹60 to ₹80, ensuring you can indulge without breaking the bank.

Customer reviews reveal a mixed bag of experiences. While many appreciate the tasty food, particularly the assortment of tiffins and comforting tea, some feedback points toward inconsistencies in service and cleanliness. For instance, Nagesh Narasimha Murthy pointed out the need for more attentive staff and improvements in rest room hygiene. Conversely, Shyamdev N praised the warm service and ambiance, emphasizing the enjoyable outdoor dining experience, especially with the captivating campfire setups by nighttime.

For families, the play area for kids adds an extra layer of enjoyment, ensuring that even the younger diners find something to delight in. The presence of whimsical ducks and play items is sure to keep them entertained while you savor your meal without distraction.

Overall, my experience at the Highway Dolphin Restaurant was one of warmth, flavor, and potential. With a little consistency and improvements in service, it could blossom into the must-visit pitstop for travelers seeking authentic South Indian cuisine in a refreshing setting. Definitely, a place worth stopping by on your next road trip!

Stopped in this restaurant for a small tea break on the way back to Bengaluru, Resturant service staff can be bit more attentive and rest rooms must be cleaned. Don't use rest rooms. It's dirty. Good thing is there is a play area for kids. Ordered tea and chilli bajjis. It was good.

Nice taste. south indian tiffins available. Cost was medium. Its on hyderabad to banglore highway. Just road side car parking available and kids play area also available. Beautiful ducks are maintained. Many play items for kids. Adults can enjoy nice tasty food. Chutneys also good. All tiffins cost from 60rs to 80rs even iddly also 60rs. Just two big iddlies they give. Dosa is 80rs. Tea coffee also available.

Nice restaurant where there is option to choose customers desired ambience. Indoors, canopies and open dining options are quite interesting. Open parking available alongside the road. I visited in a day time, I t would be interesting to dine in after sunset, as they have camp fire setups. They served good quality food. Staff behavior is quite well. Quantity of the food is also fine.

Once upon a time it was an Awesome place to refuel yourself while you are travelling. But as you know when the demand rises the quality goes down. On 18 Dec 2022 we had our lunch at this place and to my surprise the quality of the food went down drastically. Par boiled rice same type of gravy for all the dishes plus rise in price. I am ready to pay if I am getting good quality thing in return. But really disappointed with this place. Eat at your own risk!!!
